Milwaukee Philatelic Society membership meetings are held in the Firefly Room at the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 West North Avenue in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Parking is available in the rear of the building. The meetings are normally on the 1st Tuesday of each month. (Effective January 2020, the meetings will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month instead of the 1st Tuesday of each month.) Check the Calendar for any date changes that may occur due to holidays or if there is a scheduled election.
The doors open at 6:30 PM and the meeting starts at 7:00 PM. (Effective at the November 5, 2019 meeting, the meetings will start at 6:30 PM instead of 7:00 PM. Doors will open at 6:00 PM.) Attendees are encouraged to come early to socialize or check out the inventory on hand for sale or trade. The public is always welcome to attend the meetings.
Meetings include a business meeting, program and other features. Mini auctions are held at most meetings except for one spring meeting and one fall meeting when major auctions are held. At the club auctions there are usually some philatelic items that can be purchased with MPS issued "stamp bucks" rather than actual cash. The club has a program whereby members may earn MPS "stamp buck" for a wide variety of actions within the club, from attending meetings to volunteering for various activities. Auction forms can be found on the documents page.
Some programs have been announced and more will be announced soon. See the calendar for more details. Each meeting consists of a short business meeting followed by a program and an auction.
Auction forms and current meeting agendas can be found on the Documents page.
